ninja high school-CNE bandstand 1am-friday may 7th two zero zero four

At 1am at the CNE bandshelter NINJA HIGH SCHOOL were doing a bumrush show w/ boomboxes and flashlights and $2 beer cans from under the bushes. matt collins was there first waiting for kado and wolfgang to complete the ninja high school gang. They just played the drake [the 1150] for part one of the cbc brave new waves connect the dots mini tour. but i didnt go. i checked out Alex [don cash] at trinport.
chris mills ex-mudfish [1992-1993] now just like the movies showed up on his 10 speed bike w/ casio under arm. maybe 20 people at this point in the cold chill breeze of the CNE night. chris is the surprise guest opener of the ''show''. the rest of NHS arrive rollin on there bikes. theres about 40 people now and the boombox only has one working speaker. what the fuck! nobody checking the gear? so they tell everyone to get in the band shelter so we can crowd around and hear the mono jams. chris's casio builtin speaker is super quiet so he kicks some crooked freestyles as the crowd surrounds.
first was 'switchpostions' which he does by running back and forth. then he asks the crowd for a song title of a place. steve kado says 'burma'. I think the only real track he did was 'what time is it'.
then NHS take over center of circle doing all request set. 'its gonna be us', 'in the jeans', the anti-clockwork orange track and a bunch more w/ wolfgang stripping down to his spandex black biker shorts humping the mono boombox.

the cops creeped up in the parking lot not hasseling the activities in action!!!! i was shocked. people were playing soccer, having group hugs and handing out sparklers. was it coz a bunch of white people were doing this????? the flashlights were swirling circles on speed and the show was done and the cops were gone! I walked home alone.
